VR can be a confusing buzzword in the industry. We break it down into 3 categories.

You’ve heard the hype surrounding VR. It’s cool. Cutting edge. Loads of fun. But how can VR help your real estate business and impact your bottom line? Today, real estate and marketing professionals all over the world use VR to sell their vision to their teams, clients, and future tenants. VR lets you create an immersive experience from a space that doesn’t yet exist.

High-end VR

The best of the best. Cutting edge tracking and headset technologies allow users to physically walk through and intuitively interact with an amazingly lifelike environment. Grab a doorknob and open the door. Walk over and sit on the couch. Experience the grandeur and luxury you were forced to imagine only moments earlier.
  • Full 3D environment for user to explore
  • Best user experience at 5+ minutes
  • Most effective in sales situations to close the deal
  • Top-of-the-line VR hardware runs on high-powered PCs
  • Sleek: Oculus Rift
  • Powerful: HTC Vive

WEB & moblie VR

The first solution with dedicated equipment, Mobile VR uses a smartphone and portable VR viewers to immerse your client in the content. Mobile phones provide a basic or mid-range VR experience you may have seen online or in commercials, with users engaging in a 360° environment for 1 to 2 minutes. Best used for quick immersion, situations where you need to travel, and on-site tours.
  • Portable, low-cost hardware
  • Easiest hardware to setup and use
  • Good: Google Cardboard - use with any phone
  • Better: Gear VR - requires specific Samsung phones
  • Best: Google Daydream - requires specific Android phones

immersive media

The most basic VR experience is afforded by 360° images and videos shot using special cameras or rendered using 3D modeling software. If pictures are worth 1,000 words, 360° content is easily worth 10,000. Embed 360° image on a website instead of a flat image, and share 360° video on Facebook instead of normal flythrough. Use 360° content to communicate status from construction team back to design team.
  • A step above traditional renderings and fly-throughs
  • Viewable on a computer, tablet, or smartphone - no VR hardware required
  • Post them to your website, social media, video sharing sites, and Google Maps
  • Can use low-cost VR hardware to view the media in a new, immersive way
When we realized that VR was a stable trend, we decided it was time to master this technology and create new and innovative products and services. First application that came to our mind was helping developers sell apartments pre-construction. Because VR can become a powerful sales tool that will convey the value of property that does not yet exist and will create a powerful emotional connection during the home buying process.
